FurMark

“FurMark is a very intensive OpenGL benchmark that uses fur rendering algorithms to measure the performance of the graphics card. Fur rendering is especially adapted to overheat the GPU and that’s why FurMark is also a perfect stability and stress test tool (also called GPU burner) for the graphics card.”

We tested both cards for 60 seconds in the ‘Benchmarking’ run mode at four different settings:

  • 1920×1200 0xAA
  • 1920×1200 8xAA
  • 1680×1050 0xAA
  • 1680×1050 8xAA

furmark HIS ATI Radeon HD4770 Graphics Card Review

The results here are quite varied but indicate that when no Anti-Aliasing is used the 4770 performs better than the 4850.
