Overclocking
As the HIS 4770 can be overclocked much further than is allowed in ATI Catalyst Control Center, we instead used Rivatuner to squeeze some extra horse power from our graphics card. The way in which we achieved our overclock was very simple.
Firstly, we sped up the fan speed of our HIS GPU Cooler so it was running at maximum RPM. We then ran FurMark in windowed mode whilst slowly adjusting our HIS 4770’s memory and GPU speeds in intervals of 5 until our graphics card would not overclock anymore without becoming unstable.
After achieving the maximum overclock we benchmarked it in FarCry 2 to make sure it was definitely stable.
The overclock we achieved is as follows:

From the above GPU-Z screenshot you should see we gained an extra 100 MHz on the GPU speed and 201 MHz on the Memory. I’m sure many of you will agree that this is an excellent overclock to say the least.
