In Win Commander 850W

The In Win Commander 850W follows suit to the standard ATX size, however is slightly shorter in length, measuring in at 16cm. For people willing to build a MATX gaming rig this is definitely ideal.

In terms of styling, the Commander carries forward the military theme we witnessed on the packaging. It comes in a matt army green finish with yellow writing on the left side.

The right-hand side of the PSU is very simplistic. It’s completely bare albeit a small slotted grill for air to be sucked in. I’m not totally sure if this grill’s main purpose is aesthetics or cooling, either way it looks pretty good.

Dominating the top of the power supply is a black 140mm fan. A matt black fan grill protects things from being damaged by the fan – such as fingers. Both the fan and grill are secured in place by four matt black screws – one at each corner – this black to green colour scheme looks impressive.

Flipping the In Win upside down you can see the right side. When mounted into your enclosure, this is the side you will see. It features some logos and text which boast features about the Commander and its very own logo. As you can see these are in an army style yellow font which really stands out.

The underside of the unit has a black sticker which is situated centrally. This gives the power specifications of the PSU and alike the text on the right side, is written in an army style font.

The rear of the Commander boats a honey comb grill rather than an 80mm fan. There are also the commonly seen ATX socket and switch.

The front has a total of nine Modular sockets. The sockets have caps over them to avoid dust etc from entering inside. For clarity, the sockets have been indicated with a logo and naming for which connecter they represent. Also, the PCI-E connectors are red, rather than the black used on all the others. This avoids confusion between socket types.
