Cables and Connectors
All the cables on the In Win Commander are braided in black and have heat shrunk ends to avoid the braiding from fraying. As this is a fully modular PSU, only the ATX cable is physically connected, this is the 20/ 24 pin type for backwards compatibility.
The CPU Power lead is the 4+4 Pin type so can be separated to support 4 pin sockets as well as 8 pin ones. The connector which connects to the motherboard is identified on the connector in writing.
The PCI-E cables – all four of them – have red connectors at the end which attach to the PSU for convenience. The PCI-E connector is the 6+2 Pin type which supports both types of PCI-E cards, as with all the other connectors, this is black.
Altogether there are two SATA modular cables. Both these have a total of four SATA connections – plenty for most.
As for the Molex cables, there are also two. One of which includes four Molex connectors; the other has just three and a Floppy connector.
