The In Win X-Fighter (Interior)

The colour of the interior is the generic grey seen on most cases, nothing exciting really.

In Win X-Fighter Case

When I first opened the case up I was surprised by how many cables were already inside.  Most of these are for the many fans that are included to cool the entire system.  The accessories are located in a plastic bag which was located on top of the case.  All of the Drive Rails are located inside one of the Drive Bays neatly attached on both sides of a black piece of plastic.

The PSU sits only on a little ledge which is part of the back plate. This secures the PSU nice and solidly.

The Cooling System inside the X-Fighter is definitely impressive as there are already four fans included before you’ve had a chance to install anymore you may have.

One of the fans (120mm) is located at the rear of the case and exhausts the hot air from the system. The second fan is located in front of the Drive Bays and acts as an intake.

The final two fans are 80mm spinners which are hooked up to the ‘VGA Turbo Cooling Unit’ which is situated just on the edge of the case behind the side panel.

The ‘VGA Turbo Cooling Unit’ blocks access to the motherboard and other hardware so you have to remove it by sliding the open and close switch across and then folding the unit down on its hinges.  The Unit can be removed if it is not needed just by unscrewing the two screws keeping the hinges in place.  The 120mm fan in front of the Drive Bays is accessed by pushing down the larger yellow tab and pulling the unit out until it’s at an angle.  The smaller yellow tab connected to the fan can be pushed down to remove the fan or replace it with a different one.

PCI/PCI-E cards are secured in place by a yellow, plastic clip – like most other items inside the case.  There are virtually no screws needed apart from the ones needed for attaching Hard Drives, DVD Drives, and the motherboard.

Inside the X-Fighter, you can install four 5.25” drives and two 3.5” drives (external) and five 3.5” drives (internal) so more than enough room for all of your various Drives.  To install a Drive it’s really simple, just screw the rails to the sides of the Drive and then slide it into place. Hassle free and simple.

Again, on the other side of the case the side panel removal process is the same as before.  Just unclip and pull the panel across.  Behind the back plate, there is enough room for cable management if you wish, there are no cable ties included with the case but these can be picked up very cheaply anyway.
