The Package

The Nexus RX-8500 arrives in a shrink wrapped glossy cardboard box. The colour scheme represents Nexus’ company colours of black and orange which looks pretty classy. Entailed on the front are an image of the PSU in all its glory and a short list of the main product features.

On the back of the box an expanded version of the features is listed with a briefing about each one present. The connectors included on the RX-8500 and the power specifications can also be seen.

That’s not all the information though; on the left side of the box, two graphs represent the efficiency and noise levels of the unit under different loads. To ensure these tests are honest, Nexus have also included their testing methodology.

I’m sure you’ll agree, this box is very informative and has all the information anyone would need before making the all important decision on whether to purchase.

Unlike most Power Supplies, the Nexus comes with no accessories at all – although there are two Velcro cable tidies… if you call those accessories. You don’t even get a manual.
