Conclusion

The small size, low running costs and quietness of the Novatech Ion makes this computer system ideal for any work/internet PC. Coupled with the tiny price tag of just £163.74 for the most basic model, students and business users alike have themselves a very good investment here.

To improve upon this Novatech PC even more 2GB of RAM should have been implemented instead of the tiny 1GB stick installed. This wouldn’t cost Novatech much more and the performance increase would certainly be noticeable. Also, the Intel chipset should have been ditched for Nvidia’s ION. This would allow the Novatech to play 1080P content and basic games – opening up a much larger market for this PC.

But as it stands, it does exactly what it says on the tin by being a ‘Green PC’ and comes at a bargain price tag. Therefore, I’m awarding the Novatech Ion a healthy 4/5.

Thanks go to Novatech for providing the Ion Home PC for review.
