Cables and Connectors
All the cables on the OCZ ModXStream 600W are braided in black and have black heat-shrunk ends. The connectors are also all black – bar the PCI-E ones which are red. All this improves airflow and is beneficial in achieving neat cable management.
Non-Modular
- 20/24 Pin ATX
- 8 Pin 12V EPS
- 4 Pin ATX
Modular
- 6 Pin PCI-E
- 6+2 Pin PCI-E
- 2x 2x Molex + 1x Floppy
- 2x 3x SATA
The ATX connector is backwards compatible with older 20Pin Motherboards. Not sure how many users actually still use this connector, but it’s always still nice to have the extra compatibility.
The EPS 12V and CPU 12V connectors are on separate cables. It’s quite odd seeing this as normally they’re joined as one cable.
Altogether there are two PCI-E connectors. There’s a 6 pin connector and a 6+2 pin connector. This will limit your graphics card configuration, however, should still be sufficient for most users systems.
