Conclusion

In all the tests which we conducted on the power supply, the Silencer somehow managed to break at least one record. It scored the highest efficiency results we’ve ever recorded and also won overall in the voltage tests.

You’d think a high performing power supply like this would be noisy. But oh no, PC Power and Cooling have done it again by producing possibly the quietest power supply I’ve ever handled. It’s truly silent.

So what’s bad? Well apart from the slightly out 3.3v rail, there’s honestly not a lot wrong. If I was really nit picking though, the aesthetics and cabling could be improved upon – perhaps going modular. However, doing this would likely mean a drop in performance.

As it stands, the PC Power and Cooling Silencer 750W is the best power supply I have reviewed so far. For this reason and the ones indicated above, the Silencer 750W deserves the hardcore award. This is one hardcore piece of hardware, well done PC Power and Cooling.
