The Package

The Scythe Mugen 2 arrives in a very unique box which shows an image of the cooler hovering in Space. Four features are advertised on the front and the supported CPU’s are listed. Apparently the Mugen 2 is a 10% improvement over the first model.

Altogether this is a very informative box with all the needed information for any potential consumer. It’s also very bold and would stand out on any shop shelf.

Opening the box reveals the heatsink to be protected thoroughly with cardboard sections which are folded into the fins.

This is a good amount of accessories, however, it would have been nice for an extra fan and set of fan clips to be provided – you’ll see why later on.
