Cables and Connectors
All of the cables on the M12D come in black braiding with black connectors and heat shrunk ends to avoid fraying. This enables the cables to be better managed inside your system, thus increasing airflow.
Non-Modular
- 20/24 Pin ATX
- 4 Pin ATX 12V
- 8 Pin EPS 12V
- 2X 6/8 Pin PCI-E
- 3X SATA
Modular
There are two PCI-E 6/8 Pin cables included. These differ from every other cable as they have yellow heat shrunk ends – instead of black.
For all your drives, there are three further SATA cables. Two of these include three SATA connectors whilst one includes just two. This allows you to pick the desired amount of connectors that you actually need, this means you no longer need to hide excess connectors around your case.
As far as Molex goes, alike the SATA cables, there are three cables, two with three connectors and one with just two.
Normally you find an additional floppy connector attached to one of the Molex cables. However this isn’t the case with the M12D, instead Seasonic have bundled a Molex power adepter which leads to two Floppy connectors. Who uses the floppy connector these days anyway?
