If we take a look around the speaker, you’ll notice that the whole device (minus the central border) is the speaker. There’s sound coming from all angles.

At the front of the device, you’ve got the Soundfreaq logo and also the built-in microphone.

If we move around to the sides, the left features an AUX jack input, microUSB port, bluetooth connection button and the power button. The right side features your controls for the volume and also the play / pause button.

The bottom of the speaker features two full-length rubber feet to stop the speaker from moving around too much as well as the usual company / copyright information.

Verdict

At £40, it’s in the mid-range price bracket for portable bluetooth speakers. However, the Pocket Kick from Soundfreaq has performed extremely well and pumps out a hell of a lot of power from it’s two 2.5W stereo drivers. And for a speaker no bigger than a pint glass, that’s pretty impressive.

If you’re after an ultra-portable bluetooth speaker, that doesn’t break the bank, then look no further than the Soundfreaq Pocket Kick Ultra-Portable Wireless Speaker.
