Teufel Concept E100 5.1 Speaker System

The Concept E 100 speakers follow a black and silver colour scheme – popular in many technology products. The speaker setup is fairly standard for a 5.1 system (5 speakers and one sub), however, the front speaker shares the same speaker design as the front and rear ones – normally the front speaker is wider.

The satellite speakers are fairly miniscule in comparison to most PC speakers. They stand just 9cm tall (without stands), this should make it possible to position them below your monitor.

The fronts of the speakers have black fabric mesh with silver ‘Teufel’ logos adhered to them. The logo is quite an attractive finishing to the speakers as it makes them look more appealing.

After removing the mesh, you can see the loudspeaker itself. The front plastic piece of the speaker is silver; this contrasts well with the matt black.

At the rear of the speakers there is a screw hole (for the speaker stands) and the two positive and negative terminals. Here, you can use ordinary speaker cable (which isn’t included) to hook them up to the amplifier.

Standing about 41cm tall is the amplifier / subwoofer. It comes in a matt black finish with a glossy black front.

On the front is two dials (bass and volume) and one switch (power). Around these dials / switches is an acrylic ring – this illuminates in either red or blue (blue when powered on).

Towards the bottom is a hole which leads towards the sub. This hole is where air is ‘bounced’ out from.

At the rear of the sub / amp are all the connections. As you can see, the amp plugs into your computer using three cables: front, rear and sub. This gives true surround sound. However, you will need to make sure that you have a 5.1 sound card.

Below the connections is a heatsink to cool the amplifier down. Below this is the power switch and ‘kettle type’ socket.

The amp/sub sits on four feet with felt bottoms; these should help to dampen sound.

Coolink Lapchilla Laptop Cooler

Laptop technology has advanced greatly over the years with different releases of more powerful and compact systems constantly replacing the top notebooks of the year before. However, improving the performance of laptops usually has the knock on effect of producing more heat and so users will commonly seek advice in order to better cool their laptop. An often used approach to this problem is a Laptop Cooler.

However, most laptop coolers do more than simply draw hot air from your system. Many laptop coolers also have become a key feature in making the experience of using a portable machine at a desk more comfortable overall.
