Cables and Connectors

All the cables and connectors on the Tuniq 550 Watt follow a simple style: black connectors, black braiding and black heat shrink. This allows cables to be hidden easily and increases airflow. If it was a modular unit, it would obviously increase airflow even more.

The connectors included are as follows:

  • 1x 20+4Pin ATX
  • 1x PCI-E 6+2 Pin and 1x 6 Pin PCI-E
  • 1x 8pin EPS 12v and 1x P4 4pin
  • 1x 2x Molex
  • 1x 2x Molex and 1x Floppy
  • 2x 2x SATA

The 20/24 Pin ATX Motherboard connector unfortunately doesn’t have clips securing the extra four pins. This means you have to hold it in position when plugging it in. This can be quite frustrating at times.

The EPS and P4 connectors share the same lead. This helps to reduce excess cabling in the case and so makes cables easier to manage.

The two PCI-E connectors also share the same lead.
