Overclocking
Anyone savvy enough will know that the AMP! versions of Zotac graphics cards are the pre-overclocked versions.
Still though, we insisted on trying to overclock it more. To do this we used nTune and managed to raise the GPU from 702 MHz to 749 MHz and raised the memory from 1296 MHz to 1349 MHz. This is a 6% overclock on the GPU and a 4% overclock on the memory.
At overclocked speeds, we gave the card a test run on our Crysis benchmark at maximum settings. Below are the results.

As you can see, the card has certainly picked up an extra 9 or so frames per second.
Noise
In terms of noise I was expecting this card to be much louder than it actually was. I’d say it’s on par with the Sapphire Vapor-X 4850 which is a relatively quiet graphics card in itself. One things for sure, the Zotac GTX 285 AMP! Edition is quieter than a stock Intel Cooler.
