Apple’s brand new Intelligent Assistant, Siri, will unfortunately not be available to iPhone 4 or iPhone 3GS users.
The iPhone 4S was announced last night and although nothing to do with microUSB cables or adapters was announced, an £8 adapter snuck onto the UK Apple Store site unannounced.
As you all should know by now, the iPhone 4S is the next generation of iPhone and was unveiled last night by Apple. US iPhone 4S pricing was announced, but not even a whisper about UK pricing. Here’s the information we have so far.
Apple confirmed the release of the iPhone 4S at the ‘Lets Talk iPhone’ event this evening. Apple fan boys watched the event with sheer excitement hoping for a redesigned phone (dubbed the iPhone 5), but after Tim Cook finalised the event with “Thank you very much”, it was clear the iPhone 4S (an iPhone 4 with some added and upgraded features) is it for now.
Despite reports of Steve Jobs health not being it’s best, some reports are saying that he’ll be in attendance at the iPhone event today. New CEO Tim Cook is set to unveil the brand new device/s, but Steve may appear on stage a few times during the event.
The ongoing legal battle between Apple and Samsung just seems to keep carrying on and on. I can’t even remember when this all started it’s been so long! However, news is just in that Apple have rejected a settlement offer from Samsung.
Once again, there have been more leaks regarding the iPhone 4S. This time it’s Vodafone Germany’s turn. We previously reported on Vodafone UK showing the iPhone 5 in their listings, but this most recent leak is the most believable considering that the new iPhone will be unveiled tomorrow.
Being just one day away from Apple’s iPhone event, rumours are bound to be going crazy, but this new find might be one of the first to come directly from one of Apple’s products itself. Yes, that’s right, something’s been spotted in the latest iTunes and it’s highly likely that this is the new iPhone 4S!
Samsung’s battle of patents just got a little more serious with Microsoft also joining in on the squabble. In return for a cut of Samsung’s profits, Microsoft have agreed to share its patents, providing additional ammunition for Samsung.
Now, it’s no suprise really that Apple seem to be making one hell of a big deal out of the iPhone event happening on 4th October, who wouldn’t?! So whilst the event is happening live at the Apple campus in Cupertino, it will be streamed live to the Covent Garden Apple Store in London as well.
