The Top Gear trio, Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May, have reunited to start a brand new adventure together. The new show will be shown on Amazon Prime and is being produced by the group’s long-time executive producer Andy Wilman.
The brand new show doesn’t currently have a name, but filming is scheduled to begin shortly with a 2016 debut on Amazon Prime to follow.
“I feel like I’ve climbed out of a bi-plane and into a spaceship,” says Clarkson.
The existence of this brand new show, however, is all down to a certain someone. That person is Jeremy Clarkson. Clarkson was let go from his Top Gear contract following a “fracas” with Top Gear producer Oisin Tymon, over some very trivial matters, early this year.
Consequently Hammond and May both opted to leave the show instead of return as presenters for the new series.
Clarkson announced the deal by tweeting it out to his followers earlier today:
I’m very excited to announce that Hammond, May and I have signed a deal with .@AmazonVideo
